In it for the long haul:

I have been coached by Jake for about three years now and besides him picking up the aussie lingo it has been great. He is NOT the type of coach that will hammer you into the ground and if you come out the other end uninjured then you will have a good race. He approaches training dynamically and progressively making sure that you are strong and healthy before you can do those workouts that will make you fast. In the past three years I have been injury free and I think that is key to the slow progression it takes to go from age grouper to top of your age group to, “holy crap, I’m 100meters from the finish of this big race and im third overall!”

Im looking to go pro next year and I would recommend Jake’s training strategy for anyone else who wants to make their goals a reality.
